Mental Health, Gun Control and the Second Amendment

This event is part of a speaker series co-hosted by Federalist Society, ACS, BLSA, and HLSA. The Health Law portion of this event will feature Professor Kristen Valentino from the Notre Dame Psychology Department and (tentatively) Professor Jody Madeira from IU's Mauer School of Law. Professor Valentino will be discussing the effect of trauma on childhood development as well as mental health resources in educational settings. Professor Madeira will be talking about the 2nd Amendment and we would also like to discuss tailoring legislation at increasing mental health access in schools to combat the issue of gun violence and mass shootings.
