The Notre Dame Club of Phoenix invites you to attend its Winter 2015 Celebration. For the Reunion, the Club is pleased to welcome Rev. David T. Link, LL.D., D.Lit., D.Sc.’58, ’61 J.D. as our lecturer and special guest.
About Fr. Link
Fr. Link is the Joseph A. Matson Dean Emeritus and Professor of the Notre Dame Law School, and President Emeritus of the University of Notre Dame Australia.
Following a successful law career in Chicago, Fr. Link served as Dean of the Notre Dame Law School from 1975 to the early 1990s. He took a sabbatical in the early 1990s to serve as the Founding President of the University of Notre Dame Australia, and then returned to South Bend in 1993 where he continued serving as Dean of the Law School until 1999. After caring for Barbara, his wife of 45 years until she passed away in 2003, Fr. Link entered the priesthood and was ordained in 2008.
Currently, he serves as a volunteer chaplain for the Northern Indian Prisons. Fr. Link was a co-founder of the South Bend Center for the Homeless, and serves on boards for the Dismas House, the Miracle of Nazareth Foundation, and World Dignity, Inc.
The Winter Celebration on February 7
A Sunday Vigil Mass will be celebrated in the beautiful new chapel at the All Saints Newman Center. Our Club Chaplain, Fr. Bill Faiella, C.S.C., will be the celebrant of Mass. Fr. Link will be concelebrating.
Visiting with Fr. Link, renew old friendships, and even make some new friends at the Social Hour following Mass. During the Social Hour, appetizers will be served, and there will be a “no host” cash bar.
Following the Social Hour, Fr. Link will give a presentation entitled: "The Least, the Last, the Lost and the Lonely ". This will be the Club’s official Hesburgh Lecture for Spring 2015. Continuing education credit will be offered.
