2014 Lewers Lecture

The Center for Civil and Human Rights will host the second in a series of major lectures in memory of Father Bill Lewers. The 2014 Lewers Lecture will be given by Prof. Hans Joas on “Slavery and Torture in a Global Perspective.”

Hans Joas is a Permanent Fellow at the University of Freiburg in Germany and Professor of Sociology and a Member of the Committee on Social Thought at the University of Chicago.
