Assistant Law Librarian
Office: 2307 Biolchini Hall of Law
Steven Mitchell joined the Kresge Law Library as a law librarian in August 2021. He earned his B.A. in Linguistics from the University of Pennsylvania, his J.D. from the New York University School of Law, where he was managing editor of the Journal of Law & Liberty, and his M.S. in Library and Information Science from Pratt Institute. Throughout his experience in higher education, both as a student and in his professional career, he has particularly enjoyed exploring and supporting a range of academic disciplines and topics, particularly those related to the study of law. This experience has given him a particular interest in interdisciplinary and comparative approaches to legal research, especially as to the linguistics of legal information and how the early Church influenced the development of the western legal system.
