Brian E. Hammell

Adjunct Professor of Law

Brian E. Hammell joined Notre Dame Law School as an adjunct professor of law in 2021. Hammell is a partner at Sullivan & Worcester, where he advises publicly traded and closely held business entities, including Real Estate Investment Trusts, in multiple areas, including issues related to mergers and acquisitions, business reorganizations, secured lending, debtor and creditor rights, and other commercial transactions.

Hammell earned his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Notre Dame and Notre Dame Law School, as well as an LL.M. degree focused in taxation from the Boston University School of Law. He serves on the Notre Dame Law Association Executive Advisory Board.
