The Mission of BLSA shall be as follows:

  • To promote academic success of and among African-American students;
  • To promote professional success of and among African-American students;
  • To promote the successful integration of African-American students into the Notre Dame Law School Community;
  • To assist in the recruitment, admission, and enrollment of African-American students and in the selection and hiring of African-American faculty. Membership shall be open to all currently enrolled students of the Notre Dame Law School

The Notre Dame BLSA Chapter is one of more than 200 local chapters of the National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA). Representing more than 6,000 students in law school chapters throughout the United States and in six other countries, NBLSA is the nation’s largest student-run organization.
