Life on Campus
Life on Campus
As a student, you’ll discover life to the fullest at Notre Dame. Yes, expect to engross yourself in challenging academic endeavors, but also expect to find time for the arts, graduate student organizations, intramural sports, and much, much more.
Stay Active
Gain more energy and relieve stress with Rec Sports on campus. Just east of the Law School is the Rolfs Sports Recreation Center, featuring an elevated running track, basketball courts, indoor soccer, cardio and weight rooms, exercise classes, and more. Access to the recreation center is included as part of your fees.
The Arts on Campus
Artistic organizations play an integral part of life at Notre Dame. The Law School is located on the same academic quad as the University’s DeBartolo Performing Arts Center. The center is home to five venues, including one of the best concert halls in the United States and an independent, THX-certified cinema.
Just east of the Law School is the Snite Museum of Art. The Snite features uniquely acclaimed photography, sculpture and other fine arts.
North of the Law School is historic Washington Hall. This hall features performances by undergraduate and graduate organizations; many of which have become part of Notre Dame’s artistic traditions.
See all upcoming arts events on campus via the University Calendar.
Dining and Shopping on Campus
Right inside the Law School, you’ll find a café serving all the quick pick-me-up’s you’ll need to stay afloat. And yes, we have plenty of coffee and tea available.
Throughout campus, you’ll find a wealth of casual and fine dining options. On the casual side, you’ll find Legends of Notre Dame. Its sports pub theme not only has plenty of Fighting Irish trivia, but also great food. On the formal side, you’ll find Sorin’s at the Morris Inn, located across the street from the Law School. Sorin’s features fine cuisine in a proper atmosphere.
Immediately south of the University is the Eddy Street Commons. The Commons has a variety of dinning and shopping including Chipotle, Five Guys, Urban Outfitters, local eateries, pubs, and more.
