Future Plans and Aspirations: The driving force behind my pursuit of a law degree is my desire to help those in need. I aim to do so as effectively as possible by pursuing any opportunity that will help me develop the following 3 skills: (1) The ability to connect with clients – to hear their stories and garner their trust, so that I can more truly represent them; (2) The ability to research – to confidently leave no stone unturned in search of the law(s) that will bring justice for those unable to find it themselves; (3) The ability to litigate – to concisely and persuasively communicate the product of my research from the perspective of the people I represent to the administrators of our justice system.   Avenues I am considering include Labor and Employment discrimination, Prosecution, Class Actions (primarily against corporate or governmental entities), Civil Rights litigation, and Defense.   In the immediate future a primary focus of mine is to participate in experiential learning at Notre Dame, ideally through the Economic Justice Clinic or the immigration externship.

During my 1L summer I interned for Judge James D. Whittemore of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. As a 2L, I was a Summer Associate at a statewide Florida firm.

Future Plans and Aspirations: Following graduation, I hope to clerk in a federal court and return to my home state of Florida. I plan to pursue a multifaceted career that will utilize both my written and oral skills in litigation as well as appellate work. This work will be both domestic and international in scope, ranging from human rights to civil litigation. Having both a passion for trial litigation and appeals, I hope to be able to find a healthy blend of both in my future practice.
