AFFIRMATIVE DUTY UNDER THE HONOR CODE
Under section 2.1 of the Honor Code, “All law students and law faculty have the duty to report promptly either to the Dean, to the member of the faculty whom the Dean has designated to oversee matters regarding the Honor Code and to preside at any hearings involving alleged violations (the “Dean’s Delegate”), to the Student Bar Association (“S.B.A.”) President, or to the student who has been elected by the Honor Council to lead its activities (the “Chair”) all circumstances that they believe to constitute a clear violation of the Honor Code. Knowing breach of this duty shall be a violation of the Honor Code.
REPORTING ALLEGED VIOLATIONS
For the 2014/15 academic year, one of the following individuals should therefore be contacted to report an alleged violation:
Dean: Nell Jessup Newton
Dean’s Delegate: Mark McKenna
S.B.A. President: Lauren Nottoli
Honor Council Chair: Matt Wesley
HONOR COUNCIL MEMBERS
As provided in section 2 of the Honor Council By-Laws, the sole role of the Honor Council representatives is to serve on a hearing panel as described in section 3.6.1 of the Honor Code. Any questions about ongoing investigations, recently concluded cases, or other Honor Code matters should be directed to the Honor Council Chair.
