Meredith Bowers teaches Legal Writing and Legal Research and Writing II to first year students.

She earned her B.A. with honors from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1992 and her J.D. from George Washington University Law School in 1996. After law school she litigated on behalf of abused women in family law matters, first at the Legal Assistance Foundation of Chicago and then at Life Span Center for Legal Services.

From 1999-2001, she was a Visiting Associate Professor of Clinical Law at George Washington University Law School. While there she directed the Outside Placement Program through which law students received academic credit for internships and taught a seminar entitled “Public Interest Lawyering.”

Her interests include legal writing and analysis, public interest law and family law.
