Leslie D. Callahan teaches Legal Writing I and Legal Research and Writing II.

She earned her A.B. in Political Science, cum laude, from Bryn Mawr College in 1983. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1986, where she was a Board Member of the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau.

After graduating from Harvard Law School, she clerked for Judge Orinda D. Evans of the U.S. District Court in Atlanta, Georgia. Following her clerkship, she was a commercial litigator, primarily with Morrison & Foerster in New York. Relocating to the Midwest, she was General Counsel to the University of Kansas research foundation and, here in South Bend, practiced with Baker & Daniels. She joined the Legal Writing program at Notre Dame Law School in the fall of 2005.

Professor Callahan serves as a Board Member and Executive Committee Member for the South Bend Museum of Art and as a Board Member for the South Bend Heritage Foundation.
