Kevin Doyle O’Rear is an adjunct faculty member, teaching the Deposition Skills course since 2004.

He earned his B.A. with honors in History and Economics from the University of Notre Dame in 1985, and served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force from 1985 – 1989. He earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1992, where he was a member of the Editorial Board of the Virginia Law Review.

After graduating from UVA, he practiced with the law firm of Jones Day Reavis & Pogue (Cleveland, Ohio) and at Baker & Daniels (South Bend, Indiana), where he was a Partner on the Labor and Employment Litigation Team. He has extensive trial and appellate experience in both state and federal courts.

Since 2001 he has served as Vice President and General Counsel for AM General LLC, the manufacturer of Humvee and Hummer H2 vehicles, where he is responsible for all legal affairs of the company.
