Jeanne Jourdan has taught in the Notre Dame Trial Advocacy course from 1977 to the present. From 1987 to 2005 she coached Notre Dame Law School Barristers who won national championships in 1995 and 2000. She is an Adjunct Professor of the Law School.

During a twenty five year legal career Jeanne tried over fifty jury trials and presided over both civil and criminal trials for eighteen years in the St. Joseph Superior Court of the State of Indiana; she served as its Chief Judge four years.

Jeanne also teaches Trial Techniques, Deposition Skills, Teacher Training and Motion programs for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy to lawyers in both civil and criminal practices. She has been honored by NITA with the Keeton Award for Teaching Excellence and by the Indiana Judicial Council for her contributions to Judicial Education.

A 1961 graduate of Chestnut Hill College, Jeanne earned her J.D. from Notre Dame Law School in 1975. From graduation until retirement her practice has primarily been one of government service as a Public Defender, Deputy Prosecutor, and trial judge.
