In Memoriam: Francis X. Beytagh, ’56 BA

Francis “Frank” Beytagh passed away on February 21, 2016 in Dublin, Ohio at the age of 80. Upon graduation from Notre Dame, Beytagh went on to receive his juris doctor from University of Michigan. Beytagh served as Senior Law Clerk for Chief Justice Earl Warren, and later, as an Assistant Solicitor General where he argued well over a dozen cases in the United States Supreme Court. Throughout much of his career, Beytagh served as an educator and scholar in the area of Constitutional law, teaching at a number of institutions including Notre Dame Law School.
