Robert M. Greene, J.D. ’69, a partner with Phillips Lytle LLP, has received the New York State Bar Association’s 2011 Root-Stimson Award.
The award is presented to a lawyer “who has demonstrated a significant, positive impact in the community, state or nation that is unrelated to the practice of law.”
In addition to serving on the board of more than 20 charities in Buffalo, N.Y., Mr. Greene has devoted a great deal of effort to helping the people of Haiti. He visits Haiti twice a year for medical missions, and is working to raise funds for a private medical clinic and a girls’ orphanage that was destroyed in the 2010 earthquake.
