● The current job market may be likened to a constricted housing market in which savvy house hunters buy up the best homes before the sellers even have a chance to plant their “for sale” signs. In such a real estate market, learning about a house before, or right as it is going up for sale, is key.
● Similarly, learning about jobs before they are posted is also key. In conversations with friends, neighbors, church members, service providers, law school and undergrad alumni – let them know where you are seeking work and ask them to let you know when they learn of openings or potential openings. Their assistance can be incredibly helpful!
