Printing to NDLS Printers from Windows XP/Vista

Please consider the environment and cost factors before printing these instructions.

Follow the instructions below to print from your laptop to the Pharos Release Stations located in rooms 2146 and 2173 of Eck Hall of Law (Printers reserved for Law School students only). After the instructions are complete, you will be able to print from your laptop using either a wireless or wired network connection on campus. NOTE: Print jobs are purged from the system after they have been printed or 24 hours after being sent to the Pharos Release Station.

Adding Law School Printers:

1. Download the Print@ND for Windows software to a known location on your computer (desktop would be a good choice):

You will need to determine if you are running Windows on a 32 or 64-bit system. Windows XP: Right-click on My Computer and select Properties; in the General tab, look under the System section. You will be running a 32-bit system unless it specifically states 64-bit operating system. Windows Vista: Right-click on Computer and select Properties. The type of system is indicated in the System section under System Type.

If you are running a 64-bit system, please see Eric McCartney at 2140 Eck Hall of Law to discuss your options.

2. Run the installer by double-clicking the file downloaded in step 1 and following the instructions on the screen.

3. After the software is installed, you will have two new shortcuts on your desktop.
