Christopher ("Chris") Keefer practices with the firm of Sopko, Nussbaum, Inabnit & Kaczmarek in South Bend, and concentrates his practice in the area of civil litigation. Keefer has significant experience handling complex litigation matters in both tort and commercial settings. In particular, he has handled product liability, insurance coverage, medical malpractice and general insurance defense litigation, and commercial litigation matters ranging from contract disputes to non-compete issues to complex real estate transactions. He has tried jury and bench trials in several Indiana venues, and he has assisted clients in resolving disputes in mediations, arbitrations and judicial settlement conferences.
Before returning to private practice, Keefer served as corporate counsel for a leading global medical device manufacturer, where he managed its product liability litigation and insurance programs and was also involved in many other company functions including regulatory and compliance matters, contract review and drafting in various settings, sales representative training, and record retention program development.
Aside from his practice, Keefer enjoys writing children's poetry, having published "Lessons from Exile" through Finishing Line Press in Georgetown, Ky.
