Mission 
The mission of the Career Development Office is to:
Provide Notre Dame Law School students and all Notre Dame lawyers with the information, education, and tools they need to select and develop meaningful, fulfilling, and successful careers; and
Promote the national and international employment of Notre Dame lawyers, so that the values, ethics, and legal talents developed by the Notre Dame Law School are used for the benefit of people throughout the world.
Services
In support of our mission, the CDO offers the following services:
- Job postings and outreach to potential employers nationwide
- Coordination of student and alumni interviews with potential employers, both on- and off-campus
- Individual career counseling sessions for law school students and alumni
- Interview preparation, including mock interviews with CDO counselors and with Notre Dame alumni
- Review and critique of resumes, cover letters, and other employment application materials
- Support of applications for judicial clerkships and law fellowships, including Notre Dame Law Fellowships
- Administration of the Law School’s Public Interest Summer Stipend Program
- Collaboration with law student organizations on career related initiatives
- Presentation of professional development and career related educational programming
- Coordination of government honors programs, including the Presidential Management Fellows Program
- Maintenance of a print and online library of career development resources
- Host and facilitate participation in career fairs and conferences
- Publication of resources including cover letter, resume, and interview guides
