employer interview Notre Dame Law School educates a different kind of lawyer. In the Career Development Office, we are dedicated to helping our students determine the kind of lawyer they are meant to be, and giving them the tools they need to embark on a meaningful and fulfilling career.

Our career counselors come from outstanding academic backgrounds, have years of experience in the career development field, and have a wide variety of experience practicing law. We offer a variety of self-assessment tools, conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with every law student, provide extensive career-related educational programming throughout the year, and will help you make an informed decision about the career path that is right for you. In addition, our support and assistance continues well beyond graduation, and extends to alumni throughout their legal careers.

The Career Development Office coordinates interviews with employers both on- and off-campus. We provide interview skills training, advice on business etiquette, assistance with resume preparation, and counseling on all aspects of the job search process. Notre Dame Law School has a national reach, and our graduates are hired by employers throughout the United States. Our practice area distribution is equally broad; recent employment data demonstrate that Notre Dame lawyers are engaged in many types of work, including judicial clerkships, public interest law, traditional law firm practice, academia, and many other career paths as well.

Deciding which law school is right for you requires you to weigh many factors; the career options available to you at graduation are among the most important elements to consider. We welcome the opportunity to speak with you during a visit to the Law School to help you make that decision. Please contact the Admissions Office and be sure to let them know that you would like to meet with the Career Development Office when you are on campus.
