The mission of the Career Development Office is to assist you as an NDLS student in acquiring the tools and skills with which you can engage in a successful job search. These skills will serve you not only during law school but also in your post-graduate professional life.

The Career Development Office is located at 1150 Eck Hall of Law and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Throughout your job search, our career counselors are available to meet with you on an individual basis to discuss your personal goals and career development strategy. Please make an appointment through Symplicity to meet with a counselor or drop by during our walk-in hours to discuss your job search today.

Important Summer Dates

Shortly after graduation Students promoted to new class levels.
June 13 Student bidding begins for the Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. Interview Programs
June 15 Resume collections begin in Symplicity. Employers can request materials at any time, so end dates vary by employer.
June 24 Student bidding begins for Early Interview Week of OCI, as well as the Dallas and New York Interview Programs.
June 30 Student bidding ends for Early Interview Week as well as the Dallas and New York Interview Programs.
July 7 Student bidding ends for the Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. Interview Programs.
July 24 San Francisco and Washington DC Interview Programs take place.
July 25 Los Angeles and Miami Interview Programs take place.
July 28 Dallas and Philadelphia Interview Programs take place.
July 31—Aug. 1 New York Interview Program takes place.
Aug. 7 Early Interview Week begins on campus.

Counselor Walk-In Hours
12:45 – 4:45 p.m., Monday – Friday
8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Wednesdays
Walk-in hours are designed for quick questions or discussions and are generally fifteen minutes or less. Should you need more time to speak with a CDO counselor, we encourage you to schedule an appointment.
