Message from Dean Nell Jessup Newton

Newton

One of the beautiful things about South Bend is that the arrival of winter is followed so quickly by the beginning of a new Spring Semester. On January 16 Eck Hall and Biolchini Hall will once again hum with the lively intellect and high energy of some of the finest students in the nation. The sights and sounds of such fine young people returning to their studies are made all the more meaningful this year by the realization that many of them would not be here at all without your support, and that all of them will benefit immeasurably from the clinical and academic programs and faculty you have made possible.

On behalf of the entire law school community: Thank You.

Mock Interview and Off-Site Interview Programs

The CDO is seeking alumni assistance with on-campus mock interviews from January 23-February 3. Mock interviews provide NDLS students with an advantage in preparing for the demands of an interview. Please consider helping students prepare for real world interviewing by conducting a mock interview either at NDLS or via videoconference. To participate in our Mock Interview Program, contact Kevin O’Rear at korear@nd.edu or 574-631-5410.

On August 6, 8, and 10, NDLS students will interview with employers in New York City, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles. The program’s success has led the Career Development Office to expand to additional cities and employers. If you would like to interview NDLS students in your city or have an office willing to host our Off-Site Interview Program, please contact Rick Herbst at rherbst@nd.edu or 574-631-8236.
