Notre Dame Law School awards renewable scholarships to a portion of the entering class. Students must remain in academic good standing to renew a scholarship.
All admitted candidates (from both the early and regular decision process) are considered for merit-based scholarships. Consideration for merit-based scholarships is based on multiple factors with the goal of admitting students with different backgrounds and many talents. These factors include, but are not limited to, academic excellence, leadership skills, community service, and a range of other personal accomplishments and experiences. Applicants for admission who wish to receive consideration for scholarships are strongly encouraged to submit all admission materials at the earliest possible date.
Students who wish to be considered for need-based scholarship aid, must complete the optional financial aid form included in the online admission application. This form must be submitted with the other application materials.
Scholarship notification is included in the admission letter. The scholarship amount included in the admission letter may be for merit-based scholarship, need-based scholarship, or a combination of both. We do not match scholarship awards from other law schools.
Scholarships from NDLS alone will not be enough to finance your legal education. A variety of national and regional scholarships and fellowships are offered by philanthropic organizations at the local, regional, and national level. Search our external scholarship website to find alternative scholarship opportunities.
