Earl Warren Civil Rights Training Scholarships
Award: $3,000 per year
Eligibility:
African Americans who are entering or currently enrolled in an accredited law school
Preference given to applicants who are entering their first year of full-time study and who have a well-defined interest in civil rights and community activities
U.S. Citizen
Academic promise; leadership potential; undergraduate academic record; recommendations from professors & employers; desire to use education to benefit others; self-confidence & self-awareness; mature, well-considered career aspirations; unique abilities, qualities & views; commitment to service family, community & nation; & financial need

Entering 2nd or final year of study at an accredited law school as a full- or part-time student

Eligibility:
Women currently enrolled in an accredited North American law school; Only nominations are accepted, candidates may not apply directly

Through candidates law school academic & clinical work & other related activities, demonstrate their apptitude for & long-term commitment to a legal career of advocacy on behalf of the health care needs of children, women, elderly, or the disabled
