Philanthropic organizations at the local, regional, and national levels offer a variety of scholarships. These awards are usually limited to particular populations of students based on geography, class year, area of interest in law, or ethnic background. The Law School Admissions staff, as a service to current and prospective Notre Dame Law students, has assembled a listing of these external scholarships. In addition to external scholarships and fellowships, a number of writing competitions provide “prize” money to law students who submit a written work and who are selected on the basis of the competition.
