Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) after January 1. The FAFSA may be completed online at fafsa.ed.gov. Notre Dame’s Federal School Code is 001840. The FAFSA is required for all federal loans.

February 15

Suggested deadline for submitting the FAFSA to receive priority processing consideration for financial assistance.

Mid March

Date by which the Office of Financial Aid begins to mail Award Notification letters to candidates whose FAFSAs were submitted by the February 15 suggested deadline.

May 15

Suggested date for completing the Federal Stafford Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN) and, if needed, any other private educational loans.

Mid July

The Office of Student Accounts mails billing statements for the fall semester.
