On NDLS:

“The transition that many 1Ls made from working full time back to school was much easier than anticipated. This is no doubt due to the incredible amount of support we 1Ls received from the upperclassmen, the Student Services Offices, and the rest of the NDLS Faculty and Staff who made it their mission to acclimate us to law school life.

Coming back to ND for law school has been amazing. It’s a very different experience from undergrad. This time around, I don’t take anything for granted—the football experience, the Grotto when it’s covered in snow, the magnolias that finally bloom—all mean much more to me now.

At NDLS, as in any top tier law school, “making the grade” is very important. However, the leadership and faculty make it clear that academic achievement is not the only type of success we should work toward. In educating ‘A Different Kind of Lawyer,’ Notre Dame makes sure that we are nourished spiritually, physically, and socially as well so that when we leave we’ll be well-rounded and ready to contribute both to the legal profession and the community at large.”
