On the Notre Dame Law School Experience:

NDLS allowed me to pursue my own particular interests in the law. I found other students who shared my interests and we organized lectures and events to promote legal issues as well as to educate ourselves. Professors were eager to participate in our efforts and encouraged us to explore our imagination both in and out of the classroom. The support I received from fellow students, faculty members and administrative staff helped me to realize the opportunity and potential that our profession offers.”

On Faculty:

“After completing a summer clerkship for the Navajo Nation Supreme Court in Arizona, I was able to apply what I had learned on the reservation in the jurisprudence class I took the following semester. My professor challenged me to explore and develop my thoughts of the Navajo legal system and to compare it to the major themes of western legal philosophy. Eventually, my research turned into a term paper, which I submitted to a writing competition and won first place. This is only one example of how the faculty at NDLS encouraged me to pursue my own interests and inspired me to do my best work.”
