On Finding a Balance:
“The professors do a great job of encouraging the students to strive for excellence while maintaining their sanity. On the first day of class, Professor A.J. Bellia told our class that it was essential, in order to be a good lawyer and a good human being, “not to check yourself at the door.” My classmates are definitely among the hardest working individuals I’ve met but they are also amazingly well rounded. You won’t find a soul in the library on a Saturday afternoon during football season and there is something proper about that. But come Monday morning, the entire class is prepared for class and the conversation begins anew without missing a beat.!”
On the Notre Dame Family:
“Notre Dame Law School is quite unique in that it is extremely family friendly. The University provides on-campus housing specifically designed for married students with children. This has allowed my family to form great friendships and to benefit from the assistance of many other families who are “in the same boat.” For instance, after my wife gave birth to our second child, we had a different family sign up to bring us a meal each night for nearly two weeks. Due to the great demands placed upon a law student’s time, law school could be quite challenging for a family. However, thanks to the opportunities Notre Dame provides, my family’s time here has been not just bearable but actually enjoyable.”
