Insights Regarding My Area of Practice
- I works as a trial and appellate litigator specializing in employment related disputes. I have handled matters in the Sixth Circuit, a variety of federal district courts, as well as the state courts of Michigan and Indiana.
On Friendships and Community:
“My friends from Notre Dame continue to be the people I turn to with questions on my professional life and for personal advice. My friends, but more generally the people at Notre Dame Law School—students, faculty, and staff—turned what could have been an average law school experience into an adventure. They helped me discover my professional abilities and continue to be a sounding board. I count some of my classmates among my most valuable friends.”
On the General Perception of an NDLS Lawyer:
“I have never heard anyone respond to my JD from Notre Dame with anything other than respect. Other attorneys and judges both seem to be impressed by Notre Dame and its well-known alumni network.”
On an NDLS Education:
“I have found that my education at Notre Dame gave me a strong base to learn the practice of law. Notre Dame’s trial advocacy program has been incredibly helpful. Soon after I started, I attended a trial advocacy seminar sponsored by the local federal court and found that I had already mastered most of the basic techniques that the seminar taught because I took trial ad at NDLS. Likewise, Professor Fick’s labor law class gave me a comprehensive background of labor law that has proved invaluable in helping clients avoid unfair labor practices.”
