On Notre Dame Law School Alumni:
“For me, what stands out most about Notre Dame Law School is the great community of people that exists here. Even before arriving at Notre Dame to begin my 1L year, I was contacted by an alum who volunteered to answer any questions I had about the law school. That alum has remained a close friend and advisor throughout my time at Notre Dame. After my 1L year, he helped me secure a summer clerkship with a federal judge. Not only did he help me get the job, he also allowed me to live for free in his house for the entire summer.”
How NDLS Has Shaped My Personal and Professional Goals:
“Notre Dame Law School has provided me with numerous opportunities to better understand what it means to be a Christian and a lawyer. I have had the opportunity to work with refugees and migrants at the immigration clinic, to travel to Mexico and Arizona to study the role that the Church plays in immigration along the border, and to visit local service organizations to learn about the legal problems their clients face. I have also had the opportunity to take classes like Canon Law, Catholic Social Thought, and Law and Poverty, which have challenged me to think about the relationship between law and social justice. I would recommend Notre Dame Law School to anyone who wants to be ‘a different kind of lawyer’.”
