NDLS Community:
“The law school provides a unique community that is small enough to allow people to get to know each other pretty well, but large enough to have a diversity of opinions and interests. The fact that students are not ranked against each other helps foster a cooperative rather than competitive atmosphere, which helps everyone do as well as they can.”
NDLS Experience:
“NDLS has provided me with many opportunities, and not just career opportunities. Having the opportunity to learn from some of the most respected scholars in the legal field, as well as sharing classes with students from across the country, has enriched my law school experience in a way that may not have happened elsewhere. "
Benefits to being an Assistant Rector:
“Being an assistant rector is one of the unique opportunities available at Notre Dame. It has given me the unique opportunity to work closely with undergraduates, many of whom were my residents when I was a resident assistant during my senior year. I’m on duty twice a week, and advise a few of the residence hall committees. However, that’s not all that the job entails; ARs wear many different hats. I’d say that the most important part of the job is establishing and maintaining relationships with a wide variety of students, who all have different needs and will need you in different ways, as well as supporting the resident assistants, who often need someone to help them minister to the residents in their sections. Overall, it’s been a great experience and a great way to get involved outside of the law school.”
