Fee Waiver Request

Applicants to Notre Dame whose financial resources are severely limited may request a fee waiver from the Law School Admissions Council. LSAC, in addition to granting fee waivers to applicants who are determined to be financially needy, also grants select candidates waivers for the Law School Data Assembly Service and for test preparation materials offered by LSAC. Notre Dame will grant a fee waiver to any candidate who has been granted a fee waiver by LSAC.

An applicant for admission to the Notre Dame Law School who does not obtain a fee waiver from LSAC may request a fee waiver directly from the Law School. Such a request should include a statement of up to 250 words that describes the applicant’s personal (and/or family) financial circumstances. As the number of fee waivers granted is limited to applicants whose resources are very limited, applicants are encouraged to provide supporting documentation and/or as much detail as possible.

The statement requesting a fee waiver may be forwarded to the Office of Admissions via U.S. Mail, fax, or email. A decision regarding the fee waiver typically is made within ten business days of the request being received by the Admissions Office.
