NDLS associate deans are full time professors who serve as part of Dean Newton’s leadership team. The Law School has five associate deans.
Lloyd Hitoshi Mayer
Associate Dean for Academic Affairs
Dean Mayer’s responsibilities include overseeing a variety of academic, curricular, and student matters, including issues implicating the Law School Honor Code.
Roger P. Alford
Associate Dean for International and Graduate Programs
Dean Alford’s responsibilities include overseeing the Law School’s London programs, student exchange programs, and the existing and developing LLM and JSD programs.
Associate Dean for Library and Information Technology
Dean Edmonds’s responsibilities include overseeing the Kresge Law Library staff and budget as well as the Law School’s video and computer support services.
Robert L. Jones
Associate Dean for Experiential Programs
Dean Jones’s responsibilities include developing and overseeing the Law School’s clinical law and externship programs.
Mark P. McKenna
Associate Dean for Faculty Research and Development
Dean McKenna’s responsibilities include supporting faculty teaching and research as well as overseeing faculty travel funding, internal and external colloquia, outside speakers, visiting faculty, and conferences.
